Enabling a Virtual Queue in a Campaign Funnel

Last updated:

If you have a campaign that is likely to attract multiple customers simultaneously, Prisma Campaigns allows you to queue them to avoid putting too much load in your environment. When an individual completes the funnel, the tool automatically clears a place in the queue for the next person waiting in line. Similarly, if someone spends too much time in a funnel step, it times out and makes it possible to service the next customer.

To enable the virtual queue, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Campaigns, click on a campaign (New Mortgages Offers, for example) and then browse to the Funnel tab.

  2. Under Funnel options, mark the Limit number of concurrent users checkbox.

  3. Choose the desired number of concurrent users and the process timeout value (1 user and 180 seconds in this example):

  4. Save and publish changes.

If a customer starts the funnel when someone else is still going through its steps, he or she will see the following notification with the current waiting position:

and will be allowed to continue when the first person completes the process or times out - whatever happens first.
