Creating Your First Campaign Flow

A campaign flow is a sequence of automated actions executed over time for a set of qualifying members or customers. It is often used for processes such as onboarding new account holders, where you need to present different products, services, or information over a scheduled period.

Before creating your first campaign flow, make sure you have completed the Prisma Configuration process. This ensures that the required segments, campaigns, and integrations are ready for use.

The minimum steps for a successful configuration are detailed below. By following this sequence, you can correctly set up your first campaign flow.

  1. Select Your Segment: Campaign flows start automatically for all customers who match the selected segment criteria. Unlike traditional campaigns, they do not include options for lead generation, so the audience must already exist in your database and meet the defined segment conditions. It is important to emphasize that the flow is not just triggered when it is first published; while active, it will automatically start for any customer who qualifies for the segment.

Note: Campaign flows cannot target your entire customer base using the “Everyone” segment—a specific segment is required.

  2. Plan the Flow Steps: Each step in a campaign flow is an action to be executed sequentially. You can also define variable delays between steps, giving you flexibility to space out communications. For example:

    - Step 1: Send a welcome email 4 days after joining the segment.
    - Step 2: Send a follow-up SMS 7 days after the first message.

  3. Add Communications: You can add new communications to a campaign flow or reuse existing ones from other campaigns. This is useful if you already have configured campaigns for specific products (e.g., credit cards, loans) and want to chain them together.

    Supported channels include:

    - Email
    - Push notifications
    - SMS

  4. Review Restrictions: Some actions cannot be added directly to a campaign flow:

    - On-screen messages
    - Data capture forms
    - DocuSign integration

If you need to use these features, configure them within a standard campaign funnel instead.

By following these steps, you will be able to create a campaign flow that delivers timely, relevant communications to your audience without requiring them to take any prior action.
