Recommendations for Images (Size/Format)
Last updated:
It is important to optimize the images we use in the communications and arts of our campaigns. This makes it possible to improve the user experience when receiving them on a mobile device (with fast downloads) or a personal computer (leveraging the benefits of wider screens).
Optimizing and compressing images does not mean losing image quality. You can use sites such as www.tinypng.com or www.tinyjpg.com to obtain compressed images without any quality loss.
General tips for images
-
Format
- The platform supports the most common image formats (JPG / JPEG, PNG, and GIF).
- The PNG format supports transparency.
-
Size
- The size depends on image dimensions and format (file extension).
- We recommend that the images do not weigh more than 1 MB at 72 DPI.
- Examples:
- Photographic image:
- JPG 1000px x 1000px (200k-300k) or 300px x 300px (50-150k)
- PNG 1000px x 1000px (400k-600k) or 300px x 300px (50k-150k)

Color Mode / Profile
- The color profile used for web images (RGB) is different from the color profile used in print media such as magazines or posters (CMYK)). Check that the image has the correct color profile (RGB). One way to verify it is by using an image editor (Photoshop or similar).
